A lot of consumers believe to have an iPod Classic, but is actually an iPod 5th Generation or iPod Video which is not compatible with the Zeppelin Mini. Check your own iPod at the Apple website

7. My remote control does not operate.

If you are trying to use the remote control for the first time, check that the insulating film fitted between the battery and the contacts to prevent the battery draining has been removed. A clear plastic tab protruding from the battery cover indicates its presence. It may be necessary to remove the battery before the insulator can be removed. If the remote control has been in use for some time, the battery may need replacing. Use a type CR2032 'coin' cell.If you have just replaced the battery, check that you installed it the right way up. The lettering should be visible when fitted.

9. Can I adjust the tonal balance of Zeppelin Mini?

Yes, go to the settings menu on your iPod or iPhone and choose EQ and decide on your relevant setting. We suggest that you have your EQ switched off for the best sound quality.

10. Can iPods older than those listed on the Zeppelin Mini carton be used?

Only the models displayed on the versatility page will work. The reason is that the iPod or iPhone is communicating with the Zeppelin Mini via USB digitally, and not all iPod models support this functionality

11. The Zeppelin Mini is flashing yellow when I try to turn it on.

The yellow flashing light is a warning that data might be transferring (syncing) between the iPod or iPhone and your computer. Pressing the ON button while the light is flashing yellow will turn the Zeppelin Mini on, however it will break the Computer/iPod connection. Make sure the iPod has been "ejected" on your computer before you turn the Zeppelin Mini on.

This is a known bug in the Zeppelin Mini firmware. You will need to undock your iPod/iPhone and unplug the power from the Zeppelin Mini. We are working on a fix, so please go to our software updates section on the Support page and download the latest firmware version. Also make sure that your apple device has the latest software.

18. How do I update the firmware in the Zeppelin Mini?

The latest firmware version is available in our Support section. You will find a little program containing the latest firmware version, which you should download. 20. The Volume control on my iPhone is not working.

On all the touch devices (iPhones and iPod touches from version 3.0 and upwards) the volume has to be controlled via the buttons on the side of the zeppelin mini or via the remote control.
